The Serpent Stripe Short
Part of #TheArtistEdit, we are delighted to present the Serpent Stripe print - drawn by Shreyasi Pathak. From the minute we laid our eyes on Shreyasi's work, we were in love! Animals primarily dominate her works and we were looking for someone to collaborate with on a snake print. It was a match made in heaven!
In mythology, literature, science, and religions around the world, serpents symbolize both negative and positive aspects, including fertility, immortality, renewal, transformation, healing, but also evil, lust and danger. This makes the serpent a fascinating creature! In her signature style, Shreyasi's take on it included bright hues of pink, emerald green and pink coupled with the most charming evil eye details.
Such a powerful element, we decided to couple it with another classic power player - the stripe - in black with gold embroidered accents. Fierce and fabulous!
We had to do this in our favourite style -THE SHORT. Our take on the classic playsuit; the Short is an oversized shirt with secret shorts attached inside for carefree lounging. Genius, right?!

"Though my mother would tell you I have always been the creative kind, art really came to me a few years back in 2017 as a tool for self-expression. As a reserved, socially awkward individual, pictures really became worth a thousand words! My art revolves around people, emotions and nature in all their glory. I use a generous amount of colour and texture to create immersive pieces wherein, imagination blends with reality. You’ll notice that animals often dominate my artworks. I find animals do a great job of expressing raw emotions and I love using their symbolism to convey any idea. My work has evolved immensely over the years. I have gone from replicating work of the masters, to discovering my personal style through my art journals, to illustrating original artworks and prints.
Every time one of my artworks adorns a piece of clothing, the dreamy-eyed “teenager me” does a crazy dance in my head. I hope you’ll cherish the pieces Drawn has created and that they would make you just as ecstatic as I am at the thought of someone owning a piece of my art.

We offer an exchange of sizes. For exchange requests, please reach out to us within 48 hours of receiving your order. If the size is not available, we will offer store credit valid for 60 days.

If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please contact us with your order number and an image or description of the issue within 5 days from the date of delivery. We will refund your entire amount.
